I will be honest here, right now I am going through a bit of a rough patch. Life is feeling very samey and I am coming home, making dinner, watching some TV and going to bed which in theory is great, I am very blessed to be doing what I am doing and be safe and healthy while doing it.
Believe me I don’t take this for granted but I recently sat and thought about new things I wanted to try so my day could be broken up a bit more and I could find new things to do for each day of the week. In my searches I have found a few things that have really made my nights interesting and I’m hoping someone out there will be able to find fun in them too.
Gaming
This is a very broad one which I do understand but gaming is something I haven’t done for a while and I have found a new love for it. I have found a mix of playstation games and games for my computer which have been keeping me entertained but there has been one type of gaming I never thought I would enjoy until a friend showed me and that is iGaming. For those who aren’t in the know, iGaming is any type of only betting that requires wagering and I am loving it.
I also thought getting a start in iGaming would be harder but all I did was google UK slot sites and I found a great site called Hideous Slots and I was fully engrossed from then on. If you have neglected gaming on the Playstation or if you have been avoiding betting, I really do recommend doing both within reason and reaping the rewards.
Dessert Hunting
This is a more expensive hobby of mine that me and some friends have recently picked up and it is the perfect activity because it gets you out the house, gets you some human contact and involves a delicious sweet treat at the end of it!
This isn’t a hobby I do everyday because it is unhealthy but it’s a quick and easy fix for your boredom. All you need to do is find some places near you that do desserts (We usually do a max thirty minute drive) and we try a new dessert for each tema and find the perfect thing to eat after a hard week at work.
Improving My Cooking Skills
Not to toot my own horn but in my opinion this is the perfect hobby to have. Not only is cooking a full and delicious meal good for you but it also gives you a life skill. I have been watching cooking videos and improving my skills with new meals each day. Obviously sometimes I want something simple and easy, but most days I am trying to find new things to make and I can see my improvements.
I honestly love coming home after a full day, getting into some comfy clothes, putting some music on and cooking something nice. It makes me feel like I am doing something with my night and I get a nice reward at the end of it all.
Finding New Music Through Cooking
As much as I am a massive music fan, I have found the music that I liked and stuck with that, but having a lot of time while I’m cooking to listen to some music in the background has given me some new music to listen to daily and I am really loving this. Sometimes after I have eaten and I am tidying I will put more music on, make a new drink and sit listening to music while I wind my day down.
