Lukaku, Leão, Kvaratskhelia, and Rabiot
This article covers four TOTS cards in FIFA 23: Lukaku, Leão, Kvaratskhelia, and Rabiot. The article provides an in-depth analysis of each player’s strengths and weaknesses, including their abilities, chemistry styles, and positions. The article also evaluates the players’ values and prices, providing recommendations for players who want to add them to their teams. Whether you are looking for a top-tier striker or a solid midfielder, this article will provide valuable insights to help you make an informed decision.
TOTS Highlight Lukaku:
In a nutshell, he is the four-star finishing TOTS Kane that ends up being weakened in my mind. He is definitely a usable card with a certain level of strength, but if I really want to win games, I wouldn’t choose him as my starting ST because he is limited by his 191cm height and special model, which means his handling is not smooth at all and he lacks the ultimate finishing ability (both in terms of stats and skills). Harry Kane is at least one of the best finishing hands in this game. His stats are a bit embarrassing no matter what chemistry style you use, as there is always one attribute in speed, shooting, or dribbling that cannot be maxed out. Personally, I would use Hunter chemistry style to boost his speed and shooting to the max.
Many players compare him to Kane and Abraham, but in my opinion, Abraham>Kane>>Lukaku. However, he only costs around 100k, so there is no problem in making him a card, and playing “one tall, one fast” with him is still very enjoyable.
TOTS Leão:
He is one of the Italian cards that I am most interested in. I prefer to see him as a 4321 right CF, but he can also play ST without any problem. However, in my personal lineup, I would rather give the ST position to players like Ronaldo, Benzema, and Cristiano Ronaldo. Regardless of the position, his biggest highlight is his impact, which I think is even more exaggerated than Mbappe’s. He is just too fast, and often has those unstoppable moments due to his model. He once scored against top defenders like De Ligt and Davies in a game. His handling is also absolutely smooth and flexible among players with similar models, but you can’t compare him to small players. What people are more concerned about is his shooting and mentality. With chemistry, he can have maxed-out finishing, shot power, and composure, and will not disappoint you in good shooting positions. However, due to his 4-star weak foot, I personally think he has a slight gap compared to players like Benzema, Ronaldo, and Cristiano Ronaldo, but he is already among the top tier. As for mentality, I personally think it has no impact. If you’re afraid he’ll be lazy, just call him more often, but if you want “AI” runs, I do recall that he may be a bit lacking in that aspect, unlike players like Ronaldo.
Summary: He is definitely a top-tier player in the current frontcourt, whether as an ST or CF, his biggest problem is that he only has LM/LW positions, which can be tricky to chem properly as you need to choose an RM/RW. If you like players with full impact, he is a good choice for you. In terms of ability, I think he is greater than 92 Mbappe, equal to 93 Mbappe, and less than 94 Mbappe, because they are indeed somewhat similar in type.
TOTS Khvicha Kvaratskhelia:
In terms of KK alone, he is actually quite good as a 10-star frontcourt card and a versatile player who can play as one of two STs, CF, or winger. I didn’t feel too much of an impact from his low reactions, but his low stamina is indeed noticeable as he starts flashing red around 70 minutes and needs to be substituted. Many players feel that his dribbling is a bit “off” and not as smooth as other players, but I didn’t feel it was as bad as described. I think his biggest highlight is his model, with his 183cm height, Average model, and 84 strength, he has a certain level of physicality. As a 10-star player, his 5-star skill moves and 5-star weak foot finishing are also very solid, and he has scored some amazing goals.
In terms of the player alone, he is a good player, but 2.0 million is a bit too expensive for him. If he were a legendary or hero card that can be quicksold, I think he would be worth around 1.6-1.8 million, but if you still need to chem him up, I think 1.3-1.5 million is more reasonable. The drawbacks are his stamina, dribbling, and fake shots.
TOTS Rabiot:
Rabiot’s stats have been greatly boosted, and his weak foot has now come to 4-star and his skill moves to 5-star. His model is always his biggest highlight, with his long legs often reaching balls that smaller players cannot intercept. Although his dribbling has reached 96, he is still a 192cm tall player, so his dribbling and turning are not as good, but he is still very good among players with similar height models, since there are not many Gullit and Vieira types. His 5-star weak foot paired with 90 vision and 99 long passing makes him a great distributor of the ball, especially in a 3-5-2 formation where he can play as a central midfielder. His defending and physical attributes are also solid, making him a good option as a box-to-box midfielder. However, his shooting is still not great, even with the boost, so I wouldn’t recommend using him as a CAM or forward.
Rabiot is a great addition to any midfield, especially if you need a tall player who can distribute the ball well and defend. His model and physical attributes make him stand out, but his dribbling and shooting are still not top-tier. Overall, I think he is a good value for his current price and can be a solid addition to any team.
