What’s a kid’s birthday party without games? Sure, the presents and cakes are the main attraction. But how much cake will a kid eat? After a while, they tend to get bored, and all hell can break loose then. And it gets worse when you have 20 or more bored kids at a party. Include games and activities to ensure your kid’s birthday party is a memorable affair. Ensure you plan fun activities and games to keep the kids involved and happy. When it comes to activities and games, classics are always the best. It all works, from a running game to painting to a lemon race. You only must get a bit creative to ensure they fit the age group of the kids at the party. So, are you ready to dazzle all the kids at the party? Try these activities or games.

Passing the parcel

Passing the parcel is the best and most classic game for a birthday party. Start this game anytime you feel like it, but it is best for when kids are getting restless. It keeps the kids stationary while ensuring they have lots of fun. It is a simple game with easy steps that kids get familiar with easily. You can play this game in two ways. The first way is to wrap a few treats in the parcel and let the kids pass it around until the music stops. The kid who has the parcel when the music stops wins that treat. Another way is to let the kids pass around a pillow or cushion. When the music stops, the kid with the cushion must do something. It can be dancing, reciting a poem, or doing a handstand. Anything the kid wants to do and is comfortable with.

An activity center

You can use a section of the venue (your garden) for activities. Set up tables with different items and give the kids space to perform the activities. For instance, for toddlers, you can set up a sand kit. For younger kids, a center for painting or making other crafts, like jewelry, works miraculously. A face-painting booth

Want to go a bit all-out? Then a face-painting booth is the perfect activity for a birthday party. You can hire an artist with great reviews, and you will see how much fun the kids have.

 Musical chairs

Another classical game to play is musical chairs. You know how it goes. Right? Just put up one less chair than the number of children. Play the music, and when it stops, all the kids have to sit on the chairs. The slow one is out. Keep it up till you get the winner. Add a twist to this game by making the kids become statues when the music stops. The one who is slow or moves is out.

Egg toss

Pair up the kids (it works so well for tweens) and give them an egg. Let them toss it back and forth. As they catch the egg, make them walk backward to increase the distance. The team that catches the egg at the maximum distance will win. It would be fun to use an unboiled egg, but you can go with a boiled one too.

Doughnut on the string

A fun game for all. Use a thick branch of a tree or something sturdy and tie a rope to it. Using ribbons, attach a doughnut at the end of the rope. Do it in such a way that the doughnut stands freely. Now the participants have to eat the entire doughnut without using their hands. The one who eats first is the winner.

Truth and dare

This is an ideal game if you are hosting a party for kids aged ten and older. Have a bowl with truths and dare questions spelled out. As the kids pick it up, they must perform the said thing or face punishment.

As the kids turn three, they start understanding and loving the concept of parties. They want presents, cakes, décor, and running around all day. Organizing such games and activities is necessary to keep them from creating a mess and ensure they have more fun. It allows for a memorable party for not just your kid but all the kids in attendance.
