This week on Love Island, the couples were put to the test as they took on the lie detector challenge.

For some, it was a chance to prove their loyalty to their partner. For others, it was an opportunity to clear the air and get to the bottom of any lingering doubts.

And, in the case of Ellie and Charlie, it was a chance to finally put to rest the rumours that she had been unfaithful during her time in the villa.

Ellie had been adamant that she had never cheated on Charlie, but the lie detector results revealed that she had in fact kissed another boy while they were broken up.

Charlie was understandably hurt and upset by the news, but Ellie was quick to explain that it was a moment of madness that she regretted immediately.

In the end, the couple decided to give each other another chance and see if they could move past this hurdle.

It was a tough week for Ellie and Charlie, but they managed to come out the other side stronger than ever.

We hope they can continue to build on this progress and we wish them all the best for the future.

The 42nd episode of Love Island Season 9 was a momentous one, as it saw the final recoupling of the season. After weeks of drama, tension and plenty of romance, the final four couples were finally revealed.

In the end, it was Finn who decided to leave the villa, meaning that Paige was left single. This was a huge shock to everyone, as it was widely believed that Paige and Finn were one of the strongest couples in the villa.

The other big surprise was the fact that Maura and Curtis were not one of the final four couples. This meant that either Maura would be leaving the villa alone, or Curtis would have to couple up with someone else.

In the end, it was Maura who decided to leave the villa, meaning that Curtis was left single. This was a huge shock to everyone, as it was widely believed that Maura and Curtis were one of the strongest couples in the villa.

  1. Amber and Greg
  2. Ovie and India
  3. Molly-Mae and Tommy

Love Island’s final dumping saw four of the Islanders sent home in a brutal twist, leaving the remaining eight stunned.

The Islanders were gathered around the fire pit when host Caroline Flack arrived to break the news that, for the first time ever, four people would be leaving the villa.

After much deliberation, the Islanders decided to send home Sam and Georgia, as well as Ellie and Charlie.

As the four walked out of the villa, the remaining Islanders were left in shock, with many of them in tears.

Dani was particularly upset at the news, as she had grown close to Georgia during her time in the villa.

She was seen comforting Georgia as she left, and later broke down in tears in the Beach Hut.

‘I’m so upset, I can’t believe it. I don’t understand why they didn’t want to keep any of us,’ she said.

‘I just feel so horrible. I just keep thinking about all the fun we had together and I just feel so sad. I just wish I could have done more.’

Meanwhile, Jack was also left devastated by the news, as he had grown close to Charlie during their time in the villa.

‘I’m absolutely gutted, I’m in shock. I just feel like I’ve had my heart ripped out,’ he said.

‘I just don’t understand it. I feel like I’ve been mugged off. I just don’t get it.’

However, some of the Islanders were more positive about the situation, with Josh and Kaz saying that they were excited to have more time together.

What viewers think of what happened

Love Island Season 9 Episode 42 was the most controversial episode of the season. After recoupling, the girls were forced to choose between two guys, and the guys had to choose between two girls. This meant that some people were left without a partner.

Some viewers were outraged by this turn of events, and took to social media to voice their displeasure. One viewer even started a petition to have the episode removed from the show’s official YouTube channel.

Others, however, thought that the episode was entertaining and that it made for good television. Some even said that they felt sorry for the people who were left without a partner.

Overall, it seems that the reaction to the episode was mixed. Some people loved it, while others hated it. But one thing is for sure: it was one of the most talked-about episodes of the season.
