Danil Akimov is a globally recognized dancer who has gained international acclaim from cities and audiences alike for his professionalism and talent. He has successfully represented the Ukrainian Federation in local and international competitions, and has proven himself to be a strong competitor among high-level Latin and Ballroom dancers in the USA and Canada. In 2023 he became the Junior Standard Champion of Canada and the Junior Ten – Dance Champion of Canada.
He represented Canada at the WDSF Junior DanceSport World Championship among ten dancers in Bremen, Germany. Young talent, world known holds an international position in the field of dance sport. Dance sport refers to competitive dancing as opposed to social or exhibition dancing. The name was coined to help competitive ballroom dancing at Olympic recognition. Danil got 1st Place at 2024 USA Dance National DanceSport Championship 2024 (WDSF), categorized Junior, Latin Program. 1st Place at 2023 at the Canadian Closed Dance Sport Championship, categorized Junior, Standard Program.
As a result, Daphna Locker, Ballroom DanceSport VP, USA Dance, awarded Danil with his placement at the 2024 USA Dance National DanceSport Championship in Pittsburg, PA. Danil’s hard work, dedication to this sport, and accomplishments are appreciated and to be greatly commended. USA Dance as the Recognized Sports Organization for DanceSport by the USA Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the National Member Body of the World DanceSport Federation, has the responsibility of managing the national sports program for DanceSport and designing the best athletes to represent USA sport and country at high-level international competitions, and Danil is one of the honorable athletes.
Danil is also eligible to represent USA Dance at the WDO Youth, 10-Dance World Championship that is scheduled between now & the 2025 USA Dance Nationals. So, Danil Akimov was invited to participate in this fabulous event. Danil being so young aged, was succeed and awarded on National level of his native country – Ukraine. In 2018 he became absolute champion for all DanceSport types: Latina-1st place Standard – 1 place 10 dances – 1st place And after becoming the Champion of Ukraine, he was invited to Germany in Stuttgart and became a finalist.
Danil also participated in many international tournaments, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Austria, where he took prizes. Also on April 27, 2024, he participated in the Dance Star Festival, which was held in San Jose and become the winner in the Latin program. As a result, Danil Akimov received an invitation to participate in the Best of the Best show, which will be held in November 2024 in Ohio. Mr. Akimov is an exceptional individual, possessing a rare combination of dedication, integrity, and talent. His passion for dance is evident in every performance, and his commitment to his craft is truly inspiring.
Danil showed excellent results on the most prestigious ballrooms and Latin dance competitions in the United States, including the Ohio Ball, Competition 2023, where he emerged as a champion. In each instance, he has showcased not only his technical prowess but also his unique artistic vision and style, setting him apart from his peers. His talent, coupled with his professionalism and integrity, makes him a valuable asset to the world dance community. He dances with emotional depth and applies his strength, speed and passion both physically and artistically to his movements.
Mr. Akimov was well deserved to make awards and became a winner in several competitions including: – Ohio Star Ball 2023 – Hollywood Dance Championship – Elite DanceSport Championship Placing as a winner in these high-level competitions is a great achievement after a short period of staying in the U.S. Danil has unique strong presence on the floor. Akimov is a fierce competitor and he is respected by other professional in the Ballroom and Latin industry. His excellent technical skills as a dancer in both Ballroom and Latin Programs give him chance and open door to many new National competitions and shows in U.S. His main competition in WORLD DANCESPORT FEDERATION is the best proof of his success.
