When we say three things that every household should own, we are not talking about first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and tool kits (although these are all very useful). No, we are talking about three things that are a little more exciting and enjoyable.
Three things that every household should have are very subjective, and what one person would love another might not need. Therefore, take our guide with a pinch of salt, but hopefully, we can give you some inspiration on something you may need at home. In our case, we think everyone needs a coffee machine (it’s so much better than instant coffee). Having a smart system installed like Alexa or Google Home is a must, as well as smart bulbs – you don’t want to have to get up to turn the lights off!

Coffee Machine
A coffee machine is a time saver, especially in the morning. There is nothing better than being able to wake up, press a couple of buttons on a machine and have a good quality coffee made for you. You can have the perfect cappuccino, latte or Americano in seconds, plus a lot of popular brands that you may have heard of produce coffee pods, meaning you can enjoy your favourite coffee brand in the comfort of your own home. These Pods for Dolce Gusto Machine are great if you are looking for a suggestion.
Home System
If you haven’t got a Google Home or Alexa, go and get one now, as you will use it every day. You’ll use it to help with timers when cooking, you will use it to play music from, you will use it as your alarm system in the morning, and you’ll find yourself asking Google or Alexa many random questions throughout the day. They aren’t expensive but will make a huge difference to your day-to-day routine, and they are easy to set up.
Smart bulbs
How many times have you got into bed and forgotten to turn off your lights in the living room? It’s a pain getting out of bed, especially if you were about to go to sleep. Smart lights can be accessed on your phone or tablet, allowing you to turn them on and off or control the colour. You can also connect your smart bulbs to a home system like Google or Alexa, meaning you can use your voice and ask Google to turn them off for you. When you are away but want to make it look like you are in, you can turn them on and off on your phone, giving the outside world the illusion that you are in.
Our list of three things every household should own could keep on going. There are so many different things which will be useful to you, which you haven’t used before or even thought of.
