While collecting and scrutinizing our data, we delineated user origins based on the domain zones of their email addresses. For instance, if a user’s email domain is “*@utoronto.ca,” we can infer that the user is affiliated with the University of Toronto as an employee or a student.
This data compilation method proves highly reliable, and we express confidence in the compiled statistics. Through this meticulous approach, we uncovered that our platform is actively employed by upwards of 30,000 educational institutions worldwide, spanning various academic echelons – universities, colleges, and schools.
Noteworthy is the substantial user presence from China, prompting us to amalgamate the significant universities from the country into a consolidated line in the graph below.
It’s crucial to acknowledge that the figures and graphs presented conservative estimates, considering that not all users availing our services register with their university email addresses.
