Heads up for all poker fans living in Edinburgh or willing to travel there to buy into a big poker tournament. The 2024 UK poker tournament schedule made our city a notable venue with 6 live poker tournaments taking place.

Our friends and partners from the Gamblescope.com research team were kind enough to provide some information about them. As well as the list of safe UKGC-compliant online poker rooms for you to practice your poker skills.

Tournament Venue

All 6 tournaments take place in the Art Deco building of the former Gala Maybury Casino, currently – Grosvenor Casino. It is located in 1-5 South Maybury EH12 8NE, on the outskirts of Edinburgh, right near the airport. Grosvenor Casino Edinburgh might not be the largest in the city, but it is known for friendly staff, tasty food and a spectacular atmosphere suitable for poker.

UK Poker League by 888poker – Edinburgh

Date: February 12 – 18 (already started!)

Buy-in: from £81 + 9 to £1,000 + 100 depending on day and event

A new tournament in town, the UKPL was launched in partnership between 888poker and Grosvenor Casino. The Edinburgh tournament will mainly feature Hold’em events, but also a couple of Pot Limit Omaha 4/5/6, Omaha 4/5 cards events.

Grosvenor 25/50 Series Round 4

Date: March 6 – 10

Buy-in: £220 + 30

March 6 starts with a 6 seats GTD Hold’em event, re-entry allowed. And continues with a 2-day tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of £50 000. The first day is split between A, B, C and D No-Limit Hold’em events, with D being a Turbo event and re-entry allowed into all. The second day takes place on March 10.

Grosvenor UK Poker Tour – GUKPT Edinburgh Leg 4

Date: April 4 – 14

Buy-in: £900 + 100

Definitely the main poker tournament of the year 2024 in Edinburgh. With just a few weeks remaining until the start, the schedule is still to be decided. But knowing that the previous year included 32 events, we expect the Edinburgh GUKPT 2024 tournament to be equally entertaining if not more.

Grosvenor 25/50 Series Round 7

Date: August 28 – September 1

Buy-in: £220 + 30

Grosvenor 25/50 Series with a guaranteed prize pool of £50 000 returns to Edinburgh in the last days of summer. With an exception of the very first event, that will be a No Limit Hold’em online flight, other events will be as in Round 4.

Grosvenor 25/50 Series Round 9

Date: October 2 – 6

Buy-in: £220 + 30

Poker just refuses to leave our welcoming Grosvenor Casino, with another 25/50 tournament being scheduled in mid-autumn. The schedule of the tournament is yet to be known, but we don’t expect it to differ much from Round 7 and 9. The guaranteed prize pool is £50 000.

Grosvenor 25/50 Series Round 11

Date: November 13 – 17

Buy-in: £220 + 30

The last poker tournament of the year in Edinburgh will feature 3 main No Limit Hold’em events and a fourth No Limit Turbo event together with a main Day 2. Once again offers a chance to take a bite from the £50 000 guaranteed prize pool.

2024 will be an entertaining and busy year for the Edinburgh poker community. And a good chance for those wanting to try their hand at playing at a live poker event. But until your desired tournament starts, you can practice poker skills online.
